Pro Bono Grant Management Intern - Fall 2026

Job Summary
Support PBIF grant administration and reporting by preparing progress reports, payment requests, and payment materials while reviewing applications and tracking deadlines. Conduct research and analysis on past grants to identify program successes, challenges, and lessons learned, then assist with data collection for external evaluators. Draft correspondence, presentations, and internal resources, and organize materials for PBIF meetings and trainings. Manage grant-related data in systems like GrantEase and Smartsheet, and participate in stakeholder meetings to track action items. Work part-time up to 20 hours weekly from September through December 2026 in a hybrid model, requiring residence in the DC metro area.
Required Qualifications
- current undergraduate, graduate, and law students, as well as recent graduates of post-secondary institutions
- Organized and attentive to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong in research, data analysis, written communication, and verbal communication
- Comfortable reviewing detailed information, organizing data, and managing multiple assignments and deadlines
- Able to work independently and collaboratively, ask thoughtful questions, and communicate professionally with team members and stakeholders
- Intellectually curious and interested in learning about grantmaking, program evaluation, technical assistance, and civil legal aid
- Committed to LSC's mission of promoting equal access to justice
- Must live in the DC metropolitan area for the duration of the internship
- Must be available for the internship period from September through December 2026
- Must be able to work from an office in DC in accordance with LSC's hybrid work model
Desired Qualifications
- Interest or background in law, public policy, nonprofit management, program evaluation, research, data analysis, grants administration, or related fields
- Experience with Smartsheet, data visualization, data management, presentation development, or grant management systems
