Job Summary
PRN Youth Specialist will supervise and mentor youth and young adults in two YCC residential programs (Youth Crisis Shelter for ages 10–17 and House of Hope for ages 18–24), providing independent living skills training, crisis intervention, and referrals to services as needed. The role emphasizes creating a safe, supportive environment, documentation accuracy, and positive role modeling through group and individual activities. This position is PRN with flexibility to cover shifts as listed, requiring the ability to work full shifts when called. Required duties include supervising residents, facilitating living-skills training, reviewing medications and health processes, assisting with daily living needs, transporting residents to appointments, and maintaining timely admissions/discharges/officer-logs/incident reports in accordance with agency policies; education, experience, and a valid driver's license are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of six (6) months related experience; preferably in a residential shelter with at-risk youth
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
