Job Summary
Radiologic Technicians perform radiographic procedures, selecting kilovoltage and milliamperage to prescribed specifications for imaging and timing of exposure. They review developed images to determine diagnostic quality, apply radiation safety measures to comply with government regulations, and perform radiographic procedures for patients in surgery. Additional duties include collecting X-rays of chest, limbs, or other body parts, administering contrast media for gastrointestinal and other studies, and monitoring patients’ conditions with reporting of abnormal signs to the physician. Shift: Nights. Location: Newark, NJ.
