PRN Ultrasound Vascular Technologist

Job Summary
Perform ultrasound procedures including vascular, interventional, and routine studies by corroborating clinical history, consulting supervising physicians, and adjusting technical factors per protocol. Administer first aid or CPR during emergencies, verify informed consent, and maintain aseptic techniques while ensuring patient confidentiality and cooperation. Review images for proper positioning and technique, obtain segmental blood pressure readings, and provide patient education on tests and procedures. Share on-call responsibilities with staff, assume responsibility for assigned areas and equipment malfunctions, and participate in quality assessment and improvement plans. Pursue continuing education to maintain professional acumen and anatomical knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- Completion of one year (minimum) of ultrasound training
- Must be ARDMS registered in Vascular Ultrasound or ARRT (VS)
- Must be available for Varied Shifts (United States of America)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with the use of the following: real-time ultrasound instruments; Duplex Imaging Options, Color Flow Doppler, Peripheral Vascular equipment; Linear Array, Phased Array, Curved Linear, Sector, and Intracavitary Transducers; Quality Assurance Instruments, Blood Pressure Cuffs, Photocopiers, Computers, and Stethoscopes
