Job Summary
Conduct high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations independently, verifying patient identification and ensuring appropriate procedures are ordered prior to imaging. Operate ultrasound equipment safely, recognize and document pathologies for radiologist interpretation, and maintain a clean, safe environment adhering to infection control guidelines. Accurately document procedures in the electronic health record and coordinate inventory replenishment for imaging materials. Requires 1-3 years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with ARDMS or ARRT certification and BCLS obtained within 7 days of employment.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Proficiency in ultrasound imaging techniques and equipment operation
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to diagnostic sonography
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions within the scope of practice
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards
- ARDMS or ARRT - Sonography certification or registry eligible
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
