PRN Surgical Technologist

Job Summary
PRN Surgical Technologist at Fresenius Medical Care/FMCNA: Performs scrub and circulating duties during interventional procedures under supervision, assists with preparation of the procedure room and stocking of supplies, maintains sterile technique, and assists with patient positioning and transfers. Applies medication preparation and labeling within state regulations, operates interventional equipment (including C-Arm and ultrasound), and supports quality and regulatory goals. Maintains patient records and adheres to HIPAA. Requires High School Diploma, Surgical Technologist certification as required by state regulation, and state licensure/certification with 1-2 years of related experience. Day-to-day work is Monday through Friday with no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Surgical Technologist Certification as required by state regulation
- All appropriate state licensure, and or certification education and training (if any) required
- 1 - 2 years' related experience
- Working knowledge of interventional equipment (including C-Arm and Ultrasound equipment)
- Knowledge of sterile techniques
- Experience with special procedures utilizing a C-Arm preferred
- Knowledge of universal precautions and personal protective devices to be utilized when operating radiology systems
- Successful completion of BLS certification
