PRN Surgical Tech - Quivira ASC

Prepare and maintain the sterile environment in the operating room, passing instruments to surgeons and assisting with draping the patient. Manage instrument inventory, clean and sterilize tools post-procedure, and document the surgical process accurately. Protect the patient from injury by adhering to safety protocols, universal precautions, and radiation safety standards while maintaining a fire-safe environment. Perform interventions to maintain wound perfusion and prevent infection, handling specimens according to facility policy. Provide hand-off reports to teammates and participate in quality review and performance improvement projects. Work in a physically demanding setting with irregular hours, standing and lifting up to 50 lbs. Serve as a patient advocate by speaking up on safety concerns and upholding privacy and confidentiality.
