PRN Substance Use Specialist | Withdrawal Management

Job Summary
Conduct client screening including histories, case notes, and discharges while assisting with client education and milieu environment support. Evaluate crisis situations and escalated behaviors to provide intervention, then connect with clients to promote health and recovery. Collaborate with staff to coordinate appropriate care, monitor vital signs, and assess the need for medical or higher-level care. Maintain clinical records in the electronic health record system and complete documentation consistent with policies. Meet defined individual and department goals and activity metrics. On-call basis with swing, night, and weekend shifts; CPR certification required within 30 days; QMAP certification required within 60 days.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in a related human service field
- one-year or relevant experience in the behavioral health field for non-related Bachelor's degrees
- High School diploma and current Certified Addiction Tech certificate
- Previous work experience in the human services field
- Current CPR certification
- ability to obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire
- QMAP certification
- ability to become QMAP certified within 60 days of hire
- Registration in the State of Colorado DORA database as an approved addictions counselor designations
- mental health licensure
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's in a related human service field (strongly preferred)
- Previous work experience in the human services field preferred
