PRN Substance Use Specialist | Withdrawal Management

Job Summary
The PRN Substance Use Specialist will conduct client screenings, assist with client education, and provide support in a milieu environment. Responsibilities include evaluating crisis situations and providing intervention support, monitoring clients' vital signs, maintaining clinical records in an electronic health record system, and completing documentation according to clinical policies. A Bachelor's degree in a related human service field is strongly preferred, along with relevant experience or certifications. Must be CPR certified or obtain certification within 30 days, and hold QMAP certification within 60 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in a related human service field (strongly preferred)
- one-year relevant experience in the behavioral health field for non-related Bachelor’s degrees
- High School diploma and current Certified Addiction Tech certificate
- Must receive the flu shot annually
Desired Qualifications
- Previous work experience in the human services field preferred
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire
- QMAP certification (if not certified, must become certified within 60 days of hire)
- Registration in the State of Colorado DORA database as an approved addictions counselor designations or mental health licensure within 90 days of hire
Additional Requirements
- Must provide proof of annual influenza vaccine or apply for an exemption
