Job Summary
The Student Respiratory Therapist (SRT) assists licensed respiratory therapists by providing basic respiratory therapy treatments and procedures. Responsibilities include performing airway clearance, administering aerosolized medications, assisting with oxygen therapy, and documenting patient care under supervision. Required qualifications include enrollment in a CoARC accredited program, a current student license in Kentucky, and BLS certification. The role also requires strong communication skills and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a CoARC accredited Respiratory Therapy Program with successful completion of their first semester of course work
- Current student license to practice Respiratory Care in Kentucky
- Basic Life Support (BLS) provider meeting AHA standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
