PRN- Speech Pathologist

Job Summary
Evaluates and treats patients requiring speech-language-swallowing therapy. Provides coordinated and comprehensive patient care including assessment, expected outcomes, rehabilitation interventions, and evaluation within an interdisciplinary team approach. Evaluates speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive-linguistic needs and develops and implements treatment programs; documents treatments according to department policies; may supervise graduate assistants/interns and assign schedules. Participates in Performance Improvement for Speech Therapy to ensure timely, cost-effective services. Includes exposure to healthcare environment with potential patient handling and in-clinic responsibilities; outpatient pediatric population; schedule identified as part-time with hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current or temporary Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in the state where services will be provided (MD, OH, PA, WV)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency or must be obtained within 48 months of hire
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date
