Job Summary
PRN Sonographer at Nebraska Health Imaging in Omaha, NE. Performs sonographic procedures under the Radiology Medical Director, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include receiving and documenting orders, correlating clinical history, preparing and positioning patients, acquiring diagnostic ultrasound images, assisting with interventional procedures, evaluating image quality, maintaining equipment, providing education to patients and staff, participating in QA activities, and supporting the imaging center team. Must be a graduate of an approved diagnostic sonography program and be RDMS or ARRT(S) certified (OB/Abdominal/General certification upon hire for IDTF centers; RVT preferred). Up to 2 years of sonography experience preferred; capable of independent multitasking and using hospital information systems.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an approved program of diagnostic sonography.
- Must be registered through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) or ARRT (S). For IDTF centers, OB, Abdominal, or General certification is required upon hire, and RVT certification is preferred.
