Job Summary
PRN Shelter Advocate PT responsible for maintaining a safe, confidential shelter environment and delivering services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or human trafficking. Duties include crisis information and referrals, hospital-based support, initial shelter screening and intake, resident orientation, monitoring and safety procedures, shelter operations (laundry, donations, kitchen, room setup), documentation of shift activities and routine reports, attending staff meetings, and promoting the organization’s mission. Requires ability to work flexible hours, handle crisis settings, maintain health and safety standards, and travel between sites. Certifications in First Aid and CPR are required within 180 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb stairs multiple times per shift.
- Ability to drive personal vehicle and travel between sites.
- Certified in First Aid and CPR (to be earned within 180 days of hire).
