Job Summary
Conduct respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for neonatal to geriatric in-patients and out-patients. Monitor and wean oxygen therapy, manage artificial ventilation, and analyze Arterial Blood Gases and EKGs. Assist with changing artificial airways while reviewing and documenting all clinical information. Educate patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans, maintaining professional certifications and up-to-date technical knowledge. Requires current Respiratory Therapist license, Associate's Degree, and Neonatal experience.
Required Qualifications
- CRT or RRT
- 2 years prior experience
- Neonatal experience
- Associate's Degree
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- 1 year respiratory therapy
