Job Summary
Conduct respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for neonatal to geriatric in-patients and out-patients. Monitor and wean oxygen therapy, analyze arterial blood gases, and deliver intermittent therapy as ordered by physicians. Assist with changing artificial airways and review clinical information for each patient. Perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures while educating patients and co-workers on treatment plans. Maintain professional certifications and attend staff meetings. Requires current state license, Associate's degree, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- CRT or RRT
- 2 years prior experience
- Neonatal experience
- Associate's Degree
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- 1 year respiratory therapy
