Job Summary
Performs direct patient care and provides Respiratory Care and Hyperbaric Medicine procedures across all facility areas. Documents patient care and maintains records accurately. Responds to emergency situations and exercises clinical judgment to ensure patient safety. Evaluates care and makes recommendations as needed. Requires an Associate of Respiratory Care allied with less than 1 year experience and relevant certifications. Participation in ongoing competency programs is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Zero to less than 1 year of experience in Respiratory Care
- Registered Respiratory Therapist or new graduate
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Participation in the National Board for Respiratory Care's (NBRC) Continuing Competency Program
Additional Requirements
- New graduates must obtain RRT within 3 months of hire or graduation date
