Job Summary
Provides in-patient therapy for neonates to geriatrics, including general and advanced levels of therapy, patient education, and participation in trauma and code blue teams. Responsibilities include evaluation of CXR for endotracheal tube placement, reviewing laboratory values and fluid balance, and conducting respiratory interventions for pediatrics. Requires qualifications such as a National Board of Respiratory Care accredited education, NBRC Registry, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, with a current Colorado RT License and at least one-year experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a National Board of Respiratory Care accredited School of Respiratory Care
- NBRC Registry or Neonatal Pediatric Specialist Exam Experience
- Current Colorado RT License
- 1 or more years' experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS AHA certifications
- Current NRP or required to obtain within 6 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ventilator management including APRV, AVAPS and BIPAP weaning
- Familiarity with electronic medical record keeping systems (Meditech)
Additional Requirements
- Must have a valid Colorado RT License
