Job Summary
Provide evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing in accordance with physician orders and protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining clear communication and building relationships for a collaborative environment. Take initiative for professional growth and actively seek ways to improve the patient experience. Maintain current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardio Life Support certifications, with National Registry for Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within one year of hire. Hold a current Texas Medical Board license and National Board for Respiratory Care registration with at least six months of experience. Work PRN shifts from 6:30 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday, as needed at a Magnet-designated Level III Trauma Center in southwestern Dallas County.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (must obtain within 1 year of hire)
- Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
