Job Summary
PRN Respiratory Therapist provides evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, under physician orders and protocols. Responsibilities include communicating clearly, building collaborative relationships, accountability for performance, pursuing professional growth, and contributing to a positive patient experience. Requires graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program, active BLS and ACLS, NRP and PALS within 1 year, Texas license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, NBRC registration, and at least 6 months of respiratory care experience. Location: Methodist Midlothian Medical Center, Midlothian, TX; Schedule: 12 hours per week, Monday to Friday with rotating weekends; on-site clinical duties in a high-acuity, acute care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must obtain within 1 year of hire
- Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
