Job Summary
PRN Respiratory Therapist II in Non-NICU at Cobb Hospital (Wellstar). Responsible for medication administration and implementing respiratory care based on protocol and assessment, delivering patient care in complex situations with ventilator management, weaning, and airway management (intubation/extubation/trach care). Provides patient and family education, coordinates activities, mentors staff, and participates in invasive/non-invasive procedures within Cardiac Service and Pulmonary Diagnostic Testing. Ensures safe, high-quality care, accurate documentation, adherence to electronic orders, and ongoing professional development. Requires AR/RT credentialing, BLS, and ACLS with 0-2 years of clinical experience, including critical care exposure; must demonstrate strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Respiratory Care or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy (Required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Care Practitioner
- BLS - Instructor
- ACLS - Instructor or ACLS - Provisional
- 0-2 years clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ability to communicate well, critical thinking, teamwork, computer skills, customer relations, patient assessment and communication skills
