Job Summary
PRN Respiratory Therapist II in the NICU providing complex respiratory care in a high-acuity setting. Responsibilities include medication administration and implementing respiratory care within the evaluate-and-treat process, ventilator management and weaning, airway management (intubation, extubation, tracheostomy care), arterial blood gas sampling/analysis, aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and pulmonary diagnostic testing. The role emphasizes patient/family education, coordination with the healthcare team, staff development and mentoring of new employees, students, and peers, and participation in quality/safety initiatives. Requires RRT and active certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP or equivalents with instructor or provisional status), and 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care. Education path includes an Associates in Respiratory Care or a Bachelor’s in Respiratory Therapy (preferred). The posting notes a night shift and a location in Lebanon, NH.
