Job Summary
PRN Respiratory Therapist at Methodist Dallas Medical Center (Wilmer, TX) working 7pm–7am on a per-diem basis. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing per physician orders and established protocols. Responsibilities include clear communication, fostering collaborative relationships, accountability for performance, continuous improvement of patient experience, initiative for professional growth, and actively contributing to a winning team. Requires graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program; BLS and ACLS certifications; NRP and PALS within 1 year of hire; current Texas license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner; NBRC registration; and a minimum of 6 months of respiratory care experience. The facility is a Magnet-designated, high-acuity hospital with NICU capabilities and transplant programs in the Dallas area, located in Wilmer, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NRP and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must obtain within 1 year of hire
- Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Texas Medical Board
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- At least 6 months Respiratory Care experience
