PRN Registered Radiologic Technician

Job Summary
Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, including digital radiography and fluoroscopy, while ensuring comfort, safety, and radiation protection. Operate radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality images, review them for accuracy, and transmit them for physician interpretation. Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety, maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA, and complete required documentation and logs accurately. Perform routine equipment maintenance, coordinate repairs, and adhere to organizational policies and codes of conduct. This PRN role supports orthopedic providers in diagnosing musculoskeletal conditions within a busy outpatient clinic, requiring rotating weekend coverage and flexibility for clinic needs.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program
- Current ARRT certification
- Current CPR certification
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong commitment to patient confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, stretch, and reach throughout the workday
- Ability to frequently assist with positioning patients, including lifting or moving up to 50 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone
- Ability to perform close visual work while reviewing images and operating imaging equipment
- Adherence to Orthopaedics East & Sports Medicine's Code of Conduct, Compliance Program, and all organizational policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Six months or more of clinical radiology experience
- Experience in an orthopedic or outpatient clinical setting
