PRN Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery/Bariatric

Job Summary
Conduct nursing assessments, diagnoses, and evaluations for surgical and bariatric patients while coordinating interdisciplinary rounds and care plans. Deliver relationship-based, culturally diverse patient-centered care through bedside shift reports and just-in-time teaching. Maintain timely documentation, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and lead or support shared governance activities. Serve as a preceptor or mentor to ensure workforce competency. Complete mandatory education and competency assessments. Adhere to Wellstar Health Systems policies, TJC safety goals, and clinical standards. Requires RN license (Single State or Compact), 2 years of surgical/bariatric experience, BLS/ACLS certifications, and proficiency in Epic and 3M systems. Night shift position available.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- Minimum 2 years current experience in specified area of practice
- Computer/data entry experience
- Epic and 3M experience
