Job Summary
PRN Registered Nurse (RN) Days responsible for providing clinical oversight and direct patient care in a psychiatric hospital setting focused on geriatrics with mental health needs. Essential duties include evaluating patient care upon admission and ongoing, developing and maintaining nursing care plans, assigning nursing tasks, managing staffing to meet patient needs, performing IV administration and venipuncture, educating patients and families about medications and disorders, completing comprehensive nursing assessments and tests, documenting clinical information, developing discharge plans, and providing emergency care as needed. The role requires applying physician orders, coordinating treatment, teaching and supervising other mental health staff, and ensuring timely discharge. Required qualifications include an RN degree, active RN license, CPR and CPI certifications, and typically at least one year of clinical nursing experience in geriatrics and/or mental health. Travel and flexible hours may be required. EOE.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Registered Nursing (RN) Degree
- Current State Registered Nursing (RN) License
- Current CPR Certification
- Current CPI Certification
- One (1) year of clinical nursing experience preferably in geriatrics and/or mental health
- Travel required
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours
