Job Summary
Provide direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, including initial assessment, ongoing evaluation, and implementation of interventions. Prioritize care based on changing patient needs while maintaining communication with physicians and the care team. Review and document all care provided, outcomes, and evaluations in adherence to professional standards and evidence-based practices. Complete required certifications such as ONS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, and Crisis Prevention before or during orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution
- Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- ONS and Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification completed before completion of orientation
- Oncology Certified Nurse certification within two years of hire
- Crisis Prevention certification obtained within 6 months
- Post offer, pre-employment drug testing
