Job Summary
Triage patients in the emergency room, prioritizing care based on medical complaints or symptoms. Evaluate current symptoms, report findings to physicians, and perform head-to-toe assessments on pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general populations. Administer medications, initiate IV therapy, perform blood draws, apply oxygen, and assist with procedures including laceration repair, intubation, and cardiac arrest. Recognize and treat life-threatening conditions while maintaining accurate medical records and reviewing discharge instructions. Requires 7PM-3AM shifts, 4-day schedule, and 8-hour rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Two (2) years of registered nurse and/or emergency room nursing experience
- Current RN license within the state of practice
- CPR/BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic Computer knowledge
