PRN Registered Nurse - Inpatient Unit

Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Unit at Good Samaritan Hospice (Roanoke, VA) PRN Day Shift or PRN Night Shift. Provide comprehensive hospice nursing assessments, administer medications and treatments, and manage pain and symptoms per physician orders and hospice best practices. Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes while ensuring comfort and quality of life. Educate patients and families about the plan of care, document in the electronic health record, supervise Certified Nurse Aides, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate individualized care plans. Maintain infection-control and hospice-regulations compliance, participate in on-call and holiday rotations, and contribute to a calm, compassionate environment for patients and families. Requires Virginia RN license, 3+ years of nursing experience, EMR proficiency, CPR certification, and valid VA driver’s license.
