Job Summary
Assist physicians in the care and teaching of patients within a community oncology setting. Evaluate patient needs and conditions while demonstrating strong critical thinking and calm reaction to emergency situations. Maintain IV therapy skills and ensure patient safety through adherence to a drug-free workplace policy and required vaccinations. Hold a valid driver's license for travel to clinics and possess current CPR certification, with BLS training provided within the first 30 days. Fluency in English and experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- licensed in the State of Residence
- experience in IV therapy
- The ability to assess patient needs and condition
- Strong critical thinking skills
- the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Current CPR certification
- BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment
- Fluency in the English language
