Job Summary
Provide direct IV care for pediatric and adult patients, preparing and administering sterile medications per protocol while monitoring and responding to infusion reactions under NP supervision. Communicate with providers, document clinical assessments, and support order entry, lab review, and protocol updates. Ensure accurate, timely documentation and participate in quality assurance. This PRN role offers flexible scheduling Monday through Friday plus one Saturday monthly, with possible float to other FlexCare locations in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. Nurses must hold an ASN, BSN, or MSN degree with an active Alabama or Compact RN license, along with BLS/CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- ASN, BSN or MSN Degree
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or Compact (Multistate) RN license
- BLS and/or CPR certification, or willing to obtain upon hire
- Willingness to obtain additional licensure and/or ONS certification within 90 days
- Solid IV skills
- Familiarity with EMR, Microsoft Office, HIPAA, OSHA, and INS standards
- Pass a drug test before beginning employment
