PRN Recreation Therapist - SHARE Military Initiative

Job Summary
Plan, direct, and coordinate recreation leisure-based treatments for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients assigned to the SHARE Military Initiative. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment programs to meet short-term and long-term goals, including scheduling individual specialist meetings, classes, outings, and in-center activities on a weekly basis. Facilitate community reintegration outings, teach lectures, and provide discharge resources while adapting programs based on evaluation findings. Supervise supportive personnel and ensure compliance with safety policies and regulatory requirements. This PRN role offers moderate direct supervision within Shepherd Center's intensive care unit, supporting military veterans and first responders in their rehabilitation journey.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited program in Therapeutic Recreation
- Certification by NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of start date
- Two years of experience within the field of Recreation Therapy

- Current Georgia driver's license and insurable by Shepherd Center's auto insurance policy
