PRN Recovery Nurse

Job Summary
Pre-op and post-op assessment and care of surgical patients undergoing procedures such as TESA/MESA/PESA, egg retrieval, hysteroscopy, D&C, and embryo transfers. Perform and document post-op calls, ensure all consent forms are complete and signed, and handle emergent situations calmly and efficiently. Properly document patient assessments, interventions, and recovery; discharge patients with provider approval as conditions dictate. Maintain detail-oriented paperwork accuracy and communicate patient conditions to physicians and providers. Requires current Texas RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and minimum one year of operating room or PACU experience. Reports to Clinical Manager with independent judgment and flexibility to roll with changing situations.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in Texas
- Current BLS and ACLS Certification
- Minimum of one year of previous experience related to operating room nursing and/or PACU, and or critical care experience
- Minimum of three years nursing experience in other Nursing roles
- Experienced in EMR and G-Suite
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Must be organized
- Must possess a high level of independent judgment and accuracy
- Must be able to communicate positively and professionally with all staff members and patients
- Must be well organized
- Detail-oriented
- Must possess knowledge and skills in nursing care of the surgery patient
- Must be able to communicate positively and professionally with all staff members and patients

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of infertility patient care
- Experience in and a passion for women's health, fertility is a plus
- Strong communication skills & a team player
