Job Summary

Assists physician and in charge registered nurse with basic patient care within the scope of practice under direct supervision, and operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs and CT scans for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities include taking patient measurements and vitals, IV initiation, blood draws, documenting as needed, performing diagnostic testing with x-ray/CT equipment, producing high-quality images, uploading images for radiology reads, applying proper techniques, reporting results to the nurse/physician, assisting with assessments and treatments, and supporting patient mobility and splint/cast applications. Requires anatomy/physiology knowledge, familiarity with current x-ray technology trends, ability to learn quality control studies and to operate computerized radiologic equipment, basic computer skills, and an associate degree in Radiologic Technology with ARRT certification and Texas licensure. Additional duties include physical requirements (standing, lifting up to 50 pounds) and adherence to information security policies. Equal Opportunity Employer statement included. Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Applied Science or equivalent with diploma/certification from accredited school of Radiology Technologist
  • ARRT Certification
  • CPR/BLS Certification
  • Current license from the Texas Department of State Health Service for Radiology Technologist
  • At least Two (2) years experience as a Radiology Technologist in hospital/ER setting
