Job Summary
Perform radiology/CT procedures independently or under direct physician supervision, utilizing established anatomical positioning and physiology to produce optimum images while prioritizing patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort. Maintain current BLS certification and state registration for practicing and administering radiation, ensuring compliance with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists standards within one year of hire. Adhere to hospital policies and protocols for all CT procedures in the Radiology department at Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette, Arkansas.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 1 year of hire
- Certified by the State of Arkansas to practice and administer radiation
- Registered in CT within 1 year of hire unless unable to meet exam requirement, then must meet with manager to make arrangements to fulfill exam requirements
- Current BLS certification upon hire or BLS certification must be obtained during orientation period or at next available scheduled class
- Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty (ies) as appropriate
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree
- One year of experience under a Board Certified Radiologist
