PRN Radiologic Technologist - Ambulatory

Job Summary
Perform x-ray procedures using fixed and mobile equipment to diagnose disease processes across the Main Campus and associated imaging facilities. Maintain competency in high acuity, surgical, and outpatient areas while participating in student technologist training. Ensure patient safety, infection control, and timely transport processes while reporting hazards to leadership. Provide input on process improvement and assist with continuing education for staff. Complete mandatory educational assignments and demonstrate flexibility in reviewing new approaches to changing healthcare needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Graduate of a 2 year accredited Radiology Technology program
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) - State Board of Healing Arts for Kansas locations only within 90 Days
- Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Experience in high acuity areas
- Experience in surgical areas
- Experience in less acute out-patient customers
- Competence in the use of all x-ray equipment both fixed and mobile
- Ability to provide x-ray service throughout the department
- Ability to utilize computer systems to perform patient testing and to retrieve data related to monitoring of quality and performance needs
