Job Summary
Collect patient history and medical information to provide complete case documentation in hospital medical records. Assist in developing and implementing care plans as directed by the Registered Nurse or healthcare provider. Ensure proper techniques and safety precautions are taken in accordance with Cone Health policies around sterile environments. Communicate health care instructions to patients and families to deliver information clearly for the care plan. Respond to emergencies and safety hazards by utilizing personal protective equipment and hospital precautions to avoid patient harm. Requires a current LPN license in North Carolina, BLS certification, and completion of an Associate's Degree in Nursing within four years of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Diploma in Practical Nursing
- Completion of Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) within 4 years of hire
- Non-New LPN Graduates must be accepted into the Cone Health LPN Academy
- Current LPN license in North Carolina
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
