Job Summary
Administer therapeutic techniques and interventions focusing on posture, balance, locomotion, strength, and pain management under direct Physical Therapist supervision. Assist in evaluating treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and provide timely feedback to adjust clinical outcomes. Implement modalities tailored to patient age, developmental level, and individual goals while educating patients on self-management strategies. Complete accurate documentation of care plans, progress notes, and discharge recommendations, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for coordinated patient care. Maintain a clean environment adhering to infection control protocols and ensure reliable attendance. Requires PTA license, BLS certification, and 0-1 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in a physical therapy setting
- PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant license in state of employment
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques, modalities, and interventions used in physical therapy
- Ability to work collaboratively with a supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to legal and regulatory standards
- Physical stamina to assist patients with therapeutic activities and exercises
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance
- Complies with all policies and standards
