Job Summary
The Physical Therapist Assistant implements the care plan established by the Registered Physical Therapist (RPT) and physician with professional competence. Responsibilities include screening residents for functional decline, executing treatment programs, modifying treatment plans as needed, monitoring patient progress, assisting in discharge planning, supervising therapy aides, and educating staff and caregivers. The role requires an associate degree in Physical Therapy, active state licensure, and excellent organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution
- Certification and licensure requirements as established by state and national board associations
- Active state license required
- Completion of all required screenings, certifications, and licensure

- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess current working knowledge of Functional Pathways policies and procedures, clinical programs with application skills to therapy disciplines
