Job Summary
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Process specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining accurate patient and specimen logs. Enter patient data timely and handle billing information and payments as necessary. Provide superior customer service to patients and complete administrative duties. Travel to additional sites when needed. This casual/per diem role in Covington LA requires proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for medical or religious accommodations

- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
