PRN Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
Compound medications using USP Chapters 795, 797, & 800 guidelines and deliver drugs to clinics and nursing units. Refill and troubleshoot Pyxis ES MedStations daily, receive wholesale drug orders, and restock pharmacy supplies from storage. Complete annual competencies, biannual aseptic tests, and monthly floor inspections while performing unit dose packaging and cleaning the IV room suite. Assist with training new technicians and interns, restock crash carts and transfer kits monthly, and complete projects as requested by Pharmacy leadership. Requires PTCB certification, one year of hospital pharmacy experience including IV compounding, and Pyxis/Omnicell knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- USP 795, 797, & 800 guidelines knowledge
- IV compounding experience
- CPhT certification
- PTCB Certification (CPhT)
- Georgia State registration
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience/certification
- Minimum of one year IV compounding experience
- Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience
- Pyxis/Omnicell knowledge
- Compounding nonsterile products

- C-2 Safe experience
- PaRx Simplifi experience
- 797 SoleSource experience
- Epic Euclid experience
- Dry and Wet Cadet unit dosing machine experience
- MILT Unit Dose Packaging software experience

- Pharmacy student status (for those without previous IV compounding experience)
