Job Summary

Pharmacy technician in home infusion sterile compounding under pharmacist supervision, responsible for the handling, preparation, compounding, and distribution of medications, and maintaining the integrity of the sterile compounding suite. Supports inventory management, processing of medications and supplies, possibly including bulk compounding and IV solutions, and assists with medication processing tasks such as telephone inquiries, refills, and order entry. Emphasizes adherence to local policies and guidelines, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Requires a high school diploma or GED, Indiana pharmacy technician license or intern/extern license if enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy, and Pharmacy Technician National Certification (unless enrolled). 2+ years of relevant experience preferred, along with strong mathematical, communication, customer service, and Microsoft Office skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Indiana Pharmacy Technician License OR intern/extern license if enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy
  • Pharmacy Technician National Certification required unless enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • strong mathematical calculation skills
  • effective written and verbal communication skills
  • effective customer service skills
  • intermediate proficiency typing and using Microsoft Office applications
  • 2+ years relevant experience preferred
