Job Summary
PRN Pharmacy Technician to support hospital pharmacy operations at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Overland Park. Responsibilities include assisting the Pharmacist, preparing and filling prescriptions, taking inventory, processing product returns, ensuring all activity is recorded by a registered pharmacist in compliance with regulations, stocking Pyxis dispensing machines, delivering medications to med rooms, and communicating with customers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Requires knowledge of Pyxis/Omnicell/MedDispense systems, ability to work in a hospital setting, and a focus on accuracy and customer service. Key skills include safe medication handling, teamwork, strong verbal and written communication, and proficiency with pharmacy tech duties and pharmacy information management systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience
- Active Kansas pharmacy technician license
- National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) or ability to obtain shortly after hire date
- Pyxis automated dispensing machine experience preferred
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
