Job Summary
Administer personal care, including ambulation and hygiene assistance, while monitoring vital signs and managing medications. Prepare nutritious meals, handle housekeeping duties like laundry and dishwashing, and transport individuals to medical appointments or outings. Maintain records of client progress, report condition changes to supervisors, and provide companionship to support individuals with developmental disabilities. Cover shifts Monday through Friday from 2pm to 9am, with a 7-on/7-off schedule and a 5am-2pm break. No benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate
- Evidence of a CNA or Home Health Aide Skills Assessment
- Current CPR Certificate
- Possess caring and understanding attitude toward individuals, who are elderly, disabled or frail
- Be flexible and tolerant of varied lifestyles
- Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
- Tuberculosis Screening Test Results
- Physical
- First-Aid
- CPR
- Recent Motor Vehicle Report
- Background Check
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- Be in good health
- Be able to work under supervision and within the guidelines of a care plan
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)
- One year experience providing support services in a similar environment (preferred)
