Job Summary
PRN Patient Services Specialist provides front-end patient support across intake, scheduling, medical records, and financial transactions with HIPAA-compliant documentation. Responsibilities span greeting and checking in patients, verifying demographics, collecting payments, scheduling and coordinating with physicians, maintaining EMR records, handling medical records requests, and ensuring compliance across multiple stations. Key duties include accurate patient registration, appointment coordination, documentation in EMR and billing systems, processing payments and deposits, and supporting multi-site operations. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma and healthcare experience (Associates preferred), with strong customer service, communication, multitasking, and proficiency in Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook. Travel is 0%. Location: Asheville, NC, onsite at AON facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting; physician office experience preferred
- Demonstrated customer service focus with strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse populations
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
