Job Summary
PRN Patient Service Representative provides front-line patient interactions via phone, in person, or secure messaging; responsibilities include greeting/check-in/out patients, verifying information, scheduling appointments, registering patients and updating demographic data in the EMR, obtaining insurance information and signatures, assisting with regulatory/billing needs, handling payments, and educating patients on financial assistance; requires professional etiquette, collaboration, confidentiality, and computer literacy; preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and multilingual capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
- Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
- Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
- Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI) of patients, members, and caregivers.
