Job Summary
PRN Patient Experience Associate / Care Coordinator role based in the Baltimore market with coverage across Sage Health medical centers. Dual responsibilities include front desk operations (check-in/out via EHR, insurance verification, co-pay collection, appointment reminders, phone triage, and patient confidentiality) and care coordination (review and process referrals, schedule appointments, process insurance authorizations, coordinate surgical clearance docs, and maintain open referral reports). The ideal candidate supports smooth office operations, collaborates with the clinical team, and enhances patient-centered care for seniors in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Requires strong administrative skills, healthcare terminology knowledge, and full COVID-19 vaccination; bilingual Spanish and English is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Office Administrative/Receptionist/Clerical/Customer Service experience in a fast-paced, heavy phones environment
- Professional demeanor and communication
- Organized and attentive to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Resourcefulness in problem solving
- Able to take and follow through with assigned tasks and accountability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Full COVID-19 vaccination (including boosters) an essential requirement of this role
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with an electronic health record
- Experience in processing referral authorizations
- Medical office or hospital patient access registration experience highly desirable
- Experienced working in medically underserved/culturally diverse communities
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of ICD-20 and CPT coding
- Bilingual Spanish and English
