PRN PACU/Pre-Op Registered Nurse

Oversee daily Pre-Op operations including morning checks, pre-operative patient calls, chart reviews, and coordination with anesthesia and surgeons. Deliver PACU nursing care by receiving patient reports, performing physical assessments, monitoring hemodynamic and airway status, and responding to respiratory, cardiac, or circulatory emergencies. Provide direct care, emotional support, and discharge education to patients and families while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, infection control, and medication management. Maintain supply levels, organize equipment, and assist with linen and trash removal as needed. Requires current Maryland or compact-state RN licensure, BLS and ACLS certification, and minimum of 2 years recent PACU nursing experience. This role supports the goals of DOSC, including excellence in customer relations, cost containment, and quality initiatives.
