Job Summary
Provide general nursing care services, monitor client supervision, and respond to emergency health care needs within the legal scope of practice. Conduct health screenings, collect and record data on client health status, and administer medications while monitoring withdrawal symptoms. Facilitate residential community groups, perform house checks, and coordinate shift turnovers to ensure smooth transitions. Liaise for clinical information between staff and maintain adherence to posted schedules and CARF standards. Maintain current licensure, attend mandatory orientation trainings, and comply with state and federal regulations regarding confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed in Virginia as an LPN
- Minimum of two years experience in addictions/psychiatric nursing
- Overnight Weekday (12am-8am Monday-Friday)
- Ability to commit to a required training and orientation period
- Skill in implementing nursing protocol
- Skill in patient assessment
- Ability to carry out instruction and accurately document medical information
- Ability to work and communicate with others
- Ability to develop rapport with variety of client populations
- Ability to apply organizational management skills and maintain self and resident discipline
- Ability to prepare and maintain required documentation
- Ability to comply with state and federal regulations regarding confidentiality
- Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with residents
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
