Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (OT) – PRN based in Centerville, OH, providing in-home and remote training/visits. Responsibilities include evaluating patients’ functional status, home environment hazards, and developing the total plan of care; performing work capacity evaluation for return to work; developing treatment programs and goals; communicating the plan to physicians and other professionals; teaching new skills and retraining daily activities; fabricating splints and instructing on adaptive equipment use; training patients in prosthetic/orthotic device use; maintaining clinical records and coordinating with care teams; participating in discharge planning; supervising certified occupational therapy assistants; and identifying additional home health services. Travel is required for on-the-road patient visits with some remote/office-based activities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum
- Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Must be a licensed driver with automobile in good working order
- Possess and maintains current CPR Certification
- Recent TB test
- Two years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organizational skills
