Job Summary
The Cook I position prepares meals for residents in a skilled nursing facility, planning, cooking, and serving according to menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food Handlers Certification Required
- 1+ years of experience in a skilled nursing care facility or other medical facility preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and dietary guidelines
- Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients accurately, and execute cooking techniques with precision
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality dining experiences and customer service
- Ability to maintain composure and manage stress in the workplace
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Skilled Nursing Cook Experience a Must
- Skilled Nursing Dietary Experience will be considered
